We are nearing 3 years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and  Barbados’ travel protocols have thankfully been lifted.

Even though you can travel to Bimshire without dealing with that itchy pain in your nose to prove you’re healthy. You still need to be on your P’s and Q’s while you’re travelling to our island.

Below are some tips to make sure you have the smoothest stay possible.

No Smoking

Smoking cigarettes (and vaping) in public places is prohibited, this means no smoking inside public buildings but you can smoke on the beach, just no littering. We respect our island by trying to keep it as clean as possible and we hope for you to respect our island too.

There are also penalties for drug offences such as possession of illegal narcotics, recreational use of marijuana is also illegal and possession of up to 14 grams can subject you to a $200 fine.

No Camo

As trendy as it is, in Barbados camouflage is reserved for armed forces only, you may be at risk of having your item taken away.

Stay Vigilant

Barbados is one of the most welcoming islands, however, we urge you proceed with caution everywhere you go.

If you ever need to contact the police, call 211 and you will receive help from our officers. We have 15 district police stations between the 11 parishes and many officers to help keep you safe.

Drive On The Left

The majority of the vehicles in the country are right hand drive which means we drive on the left side of the road, this won’t be a problem for our british visitors.

We also have many roundabouts on highways and main roads around the island. Follow the road signs, look both ways before you cross the road and you will enjoy your drive or walk around the island.
